16 – 19 Tuition Fund
The 16 to 19 tuition fund 2021 to 2022 academic year
The 16 to 19 Tuition Fund is one-off additional funding from the Department for Education for the current academic year to support learners where learning was disrupted due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
We will use the fund to provide 1:1 and small group interventions to enable students with SEND to fully re-engage with learning, community and employment activities and recover lost skills, behaviours, confidence or to address gaps in learning resulting from the impact of self-isolation during lockdowns; examples include:
- Additional support for students to recover lost progress towards Education Health and Care Plan and transition outcomes.
- Additional support for students on work-related learning programmes to rebuild employment and vocational skills.
- Additional emotional health and wellbeing support for individual students to help them manage heightened anxieties, increase social interaction, and rebuild positive peer relationships.
- Additional practical support to enable students to recover confidence and access employer placement opportunities.
